Although the Manchester Port (4), and her sistership the Manchester Progress (2),
were relatively new, technologically advanced vessels, they were general cargo and the cellular
business was taking over at Manchester Liners so they were sold; Manchester Port (4) in 1971 and Progress (2) in 1980.
