In the 1871 Census was resident with family at 202 Crompton Road, Macclesfield, aged 1

Shown on the 1881 census as living in 197 Crompton Road, Macclesfield.

On the 1891 Census, the family were no longer at 197 - or shown in Macclesfield. Harry, however, was shown as a Clerk, visitor, at No. 241 Crompton Road, with George and Caroline ABRAHAMS.

On the birth Certificate of Catherine Jeanne Penelope (1918), he is shown resident at 148 Highbury New Park, Islington, as a Pipe Manufacturer's Assistant Manager.

On the birth of Mary Jacqueline in 1926, was resident in "Consuelo" Woldingham, Surrey

On the Marriage Certificate of Catherine Jeanne Penelope on 26 Jun 1968, Harry was shown as Professor of Languages, 62A Church Road, Hove.

bullet  Research Notes:

On Mary Jacqueline's Death Certificate (August 1926), Harry's address was given in column 3 as 3 Newington Green, Islington and in column 7 as "Consuelo", Woldingham, Surrey.

At the time that Harry's mother, Eliza LOVATT, signed her will on 8th Dec 1905, Harry's address is given as 11 Rue de Chartres, Neuilly Sur Seine, France.

On a letter of Power of Attorney from Pathé Frères dated 2 May 1907, Harry was shown to be resident at Beau Site, Sidcup Hill, Foots Cray, Kent and about to go to Calcutta on their behalf.

Records show Harry on the ss Mooltan (P&O Line) from London on 10th May 1907, in Marseilles 17th May, bound for Australia, Capt. G.C.Henning, RNR and on ss Peninsular arriving in Bombay on 10th August 1907. Where he had been between the two ships is anybody's guess!

On a copyright entry of 28th Nov 1910, for the translation of Pitman's shorthand into French by Harry, he was living at 12 Avenue de la Liberté, Becon-les-Bruyeres (Seine).

On Harry's Death Certificate, his address was 62A Church Road, Hove, which is where I, Rodney HALL, his grandson, knew him.
